International Festival for young theatre

In 1998 „Schöne Aussicht“ was brought into being in Stuttgart. It was the deliberate intention to give the children and youth theatre a greater meaning in the capital of Baden-Württemberg. The plan was to enhance the interest with the help of an international festival every two years and then keep it ongoing on a daily basis with the setup of an independent children and youth theatre. The plan worked! Since 1998 “Schöne Aussicht” has developed into a festival

without which the international scene is impossible to think of. JES celebrated its fifth birthday in 2009 and is already firmly established in the national and international children and youth theatre world.

Recent guests at the festival have been for example: Bouk Sae Tong (Seoul/South Korea), NIE – New International Encounter (Czech Republic/Norway/Great Britain), Group 38 (Denmark), Bronks (Belgium), Art I Shok (Kazakhstan), Sgaramusch (Switzerland), VAT Teater (Estonia/Switzerland), TJUS Jekaterinburg (Russia), Teatro delle Briciole (Italy), Dansteater AYA (Netherlands), Visible Fictions (Scotland/GB), La Baldufa (Spain), Dschungel Wien (Austria) and many more.
