Anna-Lena Hitzfeld

Anna-Lena Hitzfeld was born in Tübingen. After graduating from high school, she trained as a multiplier at the independent theatre Tempus fugit, where she worked as a freelancer before and during her studies.
Before studying acting at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, she studied art history and philosophy at the University of Leipzig and interned at Spinnwerk Leipzig and in theatre education at TdjW. During her acting studies she performed at the Oldenburg State Theatre.
From the 2017/18 to 2022/23 season, she was a permanent ensemble member at JES and worked with Brigitte Dethier, Kjell Moberg, Nurkan Erpulat and Hannah Biedermann, among others.

At Junges Ensemble Stuttgart she developed and realised various projects, including “Quadratmeter Abenteuer”, an interactive performance for children ages 6 and up (in collaboration with Pauri Röwert), “infectious tears – ein Abend über Tränenflüßigkeit” (in collaboration with Wolfram Stöckl) and the installation FRANZKLUBS, a play club with stories by Franz Kafka (in collaboration with Sezin Onay).
The free play BRO*CALL (ages 14 and up), by and with Milan Gather and Anna-Lena Hitzfeld, celebrated its digital premiere in April 2021.
In the 2021/22 season, she also developed a staged reading of the book “Elke” (Christian Duda) together with Sebastian Brummer and Christian Schönfelder.
