Svea Kirschmeier is a musician and performer from Cologne. She started her theatre career in 2017 as an assistant director at COMEDIA Theatre Cologne. She has been composing and performing for theatre and performance collectives throughout Germany, including Comedia Theater K\u00f6ln, Theater Konstanz and subbotnik, since 2018. She has been invited to festivals such as the Augenblick mal Festival or Impulse Theater Festival with her work and was nominated for the German theatre award \u2018DER FAUST\u2019 in the category \u2018Theatre for Young Audiences\u2019 in 2023.

There's this song that I love to hear when I'm biking down the river. And this other one I once heard at a concert and have been humming ever since, and the song my grandparents danced to at their wedding, the melody playing on the taxi radio during my last vacation. 

Svea and David sing and play a selection of their favourite songs from pop to rock, from folk to swing and explain why they love them. With vocals, guitar, bass, violin, electro beats, piano, saxophone and whatever else they can get their hands onto. And from time to time guests join in.

The concert is an invitation to the whole family to enjoy music together, to remember, rediscover, smile, tell stories, share. Live music at its best once a month on Sunday mornings for everyone who's already awake.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

For this performance, JES will be loud, colourful, emotional - and embarrassing. Because shame is the theme of the first musical in JES history. With everything that goes with it: emotional songs, a pop band, a large cast, dance choreography and a love story.

Even if it's not talked about much, shame is a defining issue in many people's everyday lives. To find out more about it, we send four young characters to an art museum. Their task, set by the school, is to enter into a dialogue with a work of art. By attempting this (more or less seriously), they not only encounter very different perspectives on ways of life and boundaries of shame. Above all, they are confronted with themselves and then also with the shamefully hidden secrets of their classmates.

In cooperation with the Popakademie Mannheim, which has put together a pop band consisting its students, and the PH Ludwigsburg, whose students are in charge of developing this educational programme.

With audio description and tactile tours<\/strong>

With audio description, the stage set, costumes and the visible course of the action are made accessible to people with visual impairments via live description. The explanations and descriptions are spoken live during the performance. The commentaries are received via transmitters with headphones. The audio description will be in german.

The tactile tour takes place in the stage area approximately one hour before the performance begins. Here you can feel parts of the stage set, props and costume pieces. There is a tactile model in which the stage set is modelled. In addition, particularly visual scenes of the production are described.

Tickets are always available for people who require audio description. Even if the performance is sold out in the webshop, you can still reserve tickets by e-mail: ticket@jes-stuttgart.de<\/strong><\/a>.

Notes on sensory stimuli<\/strong><\/h2>

Sensory impressions such as bright light, loud noises or sudden events can be overstimulating or overwhelming for some people. That's why you'll find a list of sensory stimuli in \"SHAME \u2013 The Musical\" here. They may be good to be aware of for you or someone who is attending the performance with you.

- There is live music. A band plays on stage. There are sudden changes in the music.

- There are bright, colourful lights. There are strobe lights. This means there are very fast, bright flashes of light. There are moments when it is partially or completely dark.

- The actors enter and leave the stage through the set. They go to the gallery. The gallery is above the stage and looks like a balcony. The actors disappear and appear through doors at the back of the stage.

- One of the actors enters and leaves the stage through a folding door in the set.

- At one point, an actress walks towards the audience.

- An actress steps out of a painting.

- There are strong feelings of shame and escalating emotions on stage.

- There is fog.

- The audience should be able to sit quietly during the performance in order to follow the play well.

SHAME - The Musical<\/a> PREMIERE: 24. Februar 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es wird laut im JES, bunt, gef\u00fchlvoll \u2013 und peinlich. Denn Scham ist das Thema des ersten Musicals der JES-Geschichte. Mit allem, was dazu geh\u00f6rt: gef\u00fchlvollen Songs, einer Pop-Band, einer gro\u00dfen Besetzung und Tanzchoreografien.

Auch wenn wenig dr\u00fcber gesprochen wird, ist Scham ein pr\u00e4gendes Thema im Alltag vieler (junger) Menschen. Wie beeinflusst das gesellschaftliche Konstrukt von Scham unsere Pers\u00f6nlichkeitsentwicklung? Welche Auswirkungen hat Scham auf den Umgang mit K\u00f6rper und Sexualit\u00e4t?

Um das herauszufinden, schicken wir vier junge Figuren in ein KI*-gesteuertes Museum. Ihre von der Schule hinterlegte Aufgabe ist, mit einem Kunstwerk in Dialog zu treten. Indem sie dies (mehr oder weniger ernsthaft) versuchen, begegnen sie nicht nur sehr unterschiedlichen Sichtweisen auf Lebensformen und Schamgrenzen. Sie werden vor allem mit sich selbst konfrontiert und dann auch noch mit den schamhaft verborgenen Geheimnissen ihrer Mitsch\u00fcler*innen. Schwierig genug, aber noch einigerma\u00dfen zu bew\u00e4ltigen, solange es im gesch\u00fctzten Rahmen ausgetestet und ausgelebt wird. Aber dann droht die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der eigentlich privaten Erkenntnisse durch eine interaktive Video-Installation.

In Kooperation mit der Popakademie Mannheim, die aus ihren Studierenden eine Pop-Band zusammengestellt hat, und der PH Ludwigsburg, deren Studierende das Vermittlungsprogramm entwickeln.

Gef\u00f6rdert werden St\u00fcckauftrag, Komposition und Inszenierung durch den Fonds Jupiter der Kulturstiftung des Bundes.

Zug\u00e4nglichkeit f\u00fcr Menschen mit Sehbehinderung<\/h2>

F\u00fcr Menschen mit Sehbehinderung bieten wir bei \"SHAME - The Musical\" regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Vorstellungstermine mit Tastf\u00fchrung und Audiosdeskription <\/strong>an.

Etwa eine Stunde vor Vorstellungsbeginn findet die Tastf\u00fchrung<\/strong> im B\u00fchnenraum statt. Hier k\u00f6nnen Teile des B\u00fchnenbildes, Requisiten und Kost\u00fcmteile ertastet werden. Die Schauspieler*innen stellen sich vor und beschreiben sich. Au\u00dferdem werden besonders visuelle Szenen der Inszenierung beschrieben.

Bei der Audiodeskription<\/strong> werden u.a. das B\u00fchnenbild, die Kost\u00fcme und der sichtbare Handlungsverlauf f\u00fcr Menschen mit Sehbehinderung per Live-Beschreibung zug\u00e4nglich. Die Erl\u00e4uterungen und Beschreibungen werden w\u00e4hrend der Vorstellung live gesprochen. Die Kommentare werden \u00fcber Sender mit Kopfh\u00f6rern empfangen.
