Caroline Stauch studied stage and costume design with Prof. Rosalie. During her studies, she was involved as a stage and costume designer in various productions, including at Schlossfestspiele Heidelberg and the H\u00e4ndelfestspiele Karlsruhe. During a stay abroad in Tallinn, she created the performance \u2018Department of Desire\u2019 in collaboration with Prof Lilja Blumenfeld’s class at the Tallinn Academy of Arts, which was shown at the POT Festival Tallinn and at the \u2018Prague quadrennial of performance design and space.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After graduating, she worked as an assistant at Theater Freiburg and the Stuttgart State Theatres. Since 2017, she has been working as a freelance stage and costume designer at the theatres in Freiburg, Detmold, Heidelberg and Bremerhaven, Landesb\u00fchne T\u00fcbingen and Reutlingen, as well as with the theatre company \u2018Physical Monkey\u2019, which most recently performed at Pumpenhaus M\u00fcnster and Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","position":[162,161],"class_list":["post-20162","person","type-person","status-publish","hentry","position-costume","position-stage-design"],"acf":{"person_sort":"Strauch","relation_posts":[{"ID":17105,"post_author":"2","post_date":"2022-06-29 17:33:41","post_date_gmt":"2022-06-29 15:33:41","post_content":"\n\n\n

They agreed on one thing from the beginning: they would definitely find something better than death. But what did the donkey, the dog, the cat and the rooster actually find after they chased the robbers out of their hut? Just a protective roof over their heads? Or a new home? Or community? How do you live together when you are so different and have different needs?

Because music almost always helps, the four \"city music animals\" take Donkey by their word and grab microphones and instruments. The stories are their own, but what kind of music is appropriate? And does it rather take a good choreography, a fresh band name or simply lots of practice to actually make a name for oneself?

The JES Ensemble tells the Brothers Grimm fairy tale from a special perspective, with lots of live music.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the audio description<\/strong> the stage set, the costumes and the visible course of the action are described for people with visual impairments. The descriptions are spoken live during the performance and can be heard by the audience via transmitters with headphones.

For people with visual impairments, we regularly offer screenings with tactile guidance and audio description <\/strong>an.

The tactile tour<\/strong> takes place in the stage area approximately one hour before the performance begins. Here you can feel parts of the stage set, props and costume pieces. The actors introduce themselves and describe themselves. In addition, particularly visual scenes of the production are described.

That's why you'll find a list of sensory stimuli in \"Die Bremer Stadtmusiktiere\" here. They may be good to be aware of for you or someone who is attending the performance with you.

- At the beginning of the performance, the actors suddenly appear, shouting loudly.

- The actors stand on raised platforms and on a suspended ladder.
- Music with amplified instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and microphone) and everyday objects such as pots and tin cans.

- Short flickering of neon tubes as well as weak light, darkness and rapid light changes.

- At some points, the actors wear masks and helmets that cover their faces for a brief moment.

- Use of fog and shadow theater towards the end of the performance.

For this performance, JES will be loud, colourful, emotional - and embarrassing. Because shame is the theme of the first musical in JES history. With everything that goes with it: emotional songs, a pop band, a large cast, dance choreography and a love story.

Even if it's not talked about much, shame is a defining issue in many people's everyday lives. To find out more about it, we send four young characters to an art museum. Their task, set by the school, is to enter into a dialogue with a work of art. By attempting this (more or less seriously), they not only encounter very different perspectives on ways of life and boundaries of shame. Above all, they are confronted with themselves and then also with the shamefully hidden secrets of their classmates.

In cooperation with the Popakademie Mannheim, which has put together a pop band consisting its students, and the PH Ludwigsburg, whose students are in charge of developing this educational programme.

- One of the actors enters and leaves the stage through a folding door in the set.

- At one point, an actress walks towards the audience.

- An actress steps out of a painting.

- There are strong feelings of shame and escalating emotions on stage.

- There is fog.

- The audience should be able to sit quietly during the performance in order to follow the play well.

SHAME - The Musical<\/a> PREMIERE: 24. Februar 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es wird laut im JES, bunt, gef\u00fchlvoll \u2013 und peinlich. Denn Scham ist das Thema des ersten Musicals der JES-Geschichte. Mit allem, was dazu geh\u00f6rt: gef\u00fchlvollen Songs, einer Pop-Band, einer gro\u00dfen Besetzung und Tanzchoreografien.

Auch wenn wenig dr\u00fcber gesprochen wird, ist Scham ein pr\u00e4gendes Thema im Alltag vieler (junger) Menschen. Wie beeinflusst das gesellschaftliche Konstrukt von Scham unsere Pers\u00f6nlichkeitsentwicklung? Welche Auswirkungen hat Scham auf den Umgang mit K\u00f6rper und Sexualit\u00e4t?

Um das herauszufinden, schicken wir vier junge Figuren in ein KI*-gesteuertes Museum. Ihre von der Schule hinterlegte Aufgabe ist, mit einem Kunstwerk in Dialog zu treten. Indem sie dies (mehr oder weniger ernsthaft) versuchen, begegnen sie nicht nur sehr unterschiedlichen Sichtweisen auf Lebensformen und Schamgrenzen. Sie werden vor allem mit sich selbst konfrontiert und dann auch noch mit den schamhaft verborgenen Geheimnissen ihrer Mitsch\u00fcler*innen. Schwierig genug, aber noch einigerma\u00dfen zu bew\u00e4ltigen, solange es im gesch\u00fctzten Rahmen ausgetestet und ausgelebt wird. Aber dann droht die Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der eigentlich privaten Erkenntnisse durch eine interaktive Video-Installation.

In Kooperation mit der Popakademie Mannheim, die aus ihren Studierenden eine Pop-Band zusammengestellt hat, und der PH Ludwigsburg, deren Studierende das Vermittlungsprogramm entwickeln.

Gef\u00f6rdert werden St\u00fcckauftrag, Komposition und Inszenierung durch den Fonds Jupiter der Kulturstiftung des Bundes.

F\u00fcr Menschen mit Sehbehinderung bieten wir bei \"SHAME - The Musical\" regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Vorstellungstermine mit Tastf\u00fchrung und Audiosdeskription <\/strong>an.

Etwa eine Stunde vor Vorstellungsbeginn findet die Tastf\u00fchrung<\/strong> im B\u00fchnenraum statt. Hier k\u00f6nnen Teile des B\u00fchnenbildes, Requisiten und Kost\u00fcmteile ertastet werden. Die Schauspieler*innen stellen sich vor und beschreiben sich. Au\u00dferdem werden besonders visuelle Szenen der Inszenierung beschrieben.

Bei der Audiodeskription<\/strong> werden u.a. das B\u00fchnenbild, die Kost\u00fcme und der sichtbare Handlungsverlauf f\u00fcr Menschen mit Sehbehinderung per Live-Beschreibung zug\u00e4nglich. Die Erl\u00e4uterungen und Beschreibungen werden w\u00e4hrend der Vorstellung live gesprochen. Die Kommentare werden \u00fcber Sender mit Kopfh\u00f6rern empfangen.
