Selina studied at Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Tanz K\u00f6ln and the National Academy of the Arts in Oslo. She received her bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance in 2019 and has since worked as a freelance dancer for and with choreographers such as Tanztheater Erdmann-Rajski, MIRA-Company, Johannes Blattner, Julia Brendle, Claudia Senoner and Yolanda Guitterez, Milan Pes\u00e7l, as well as with Lee Brummer and Israel Aloni, with whose junior company ilYoung she worked in Sweden in 2022. Since 2020 she has worked closely with Smadar Goshen in several productions. She choreographed the solo \u2018the pluralist deconstructed humerous body of her\u2019 for Smadar Goshen, which was performed at Stuttgart International Theatre Dance Festival. In 2023, she was employed as a guest dancer and worked with Hege Haagenrud for Theater der jungen Welt, Leipzig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The duo Remanenz, which she created together with Mira Plakat, won the prize for best newcomer duo, as well as the audience award at the SoloDuo Festival Cologne and first prize at the Sz\u00f3l\u00f3Du\u00f3 Festival in Poland. In 2023, she received a scholarship from Marie Desoubeaux and her organisation Pr\u00e9somtions de Pr\u00e9sences to support her in her own artistic work. Her solo \u2018the vertical expression of horizontal feelings\u2019 was shown at the Signes d’Automne festival in Paris. In 2024, she choreographed \u2018sketches on bewildered bodies\u2019 in collaboration with Julia Brendle, which the two are currently presenting in various theatres in Limassol, Cyprus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One minute everything was calm, the next it's there: chaos. It lurks in moments when your way of dealing with something and my way of dealing with it collide. And it\u2019s also where the unexpected happens, for which I am so unprepared.

In a dance piece for audience members aged 2 and over, Lola and Selina go in search of ways to find their way in turbulent situations. In the process, it is not always easy to understand oneself or the other person: Why do you cause such chaos in me? How can I make you understand what this is doing to me? And how can we get through such a turbulent moment together? The two try out how they can tame the chaos on stage, they make plans and thwart them, dive into wild playfulness and deep contemplation, they tumble, rumble and roar through all the colours of chaos.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Notes on sensory stimuli<\/strong><\/h2>

Sensory impressions such as bright light, loud noises or sudden events can be overstimulating or overwhelming for some people. That's why you'll find a list of sensory stimuli in \"Leichte Turbulenzen\" here. They may be good to be aware of for you or someone who is attending the performance with you.

- Use of recorded music and live instruments (accordion and ukulele) as well as several metronomes that tick in different rhythms. Metal buckets that produce sounds.

- Large stage elements that are moved.

- Colorful clothes that fly through the air and suddenly appear.

- A fluttering curtain at the back of the stage.

- The dancers hang in the air, stand on an elevated position and swing around a pole.

- The dancers talk to the audience at the beginning and at the end.
