Studied political science and philosophy in Mannheim. From 2009 to 2013, he was an assistant director at the Freiburg Theatre under Barbara Mundel and directed his first productions there. Since 2013, he has worked as a freelance director in Freiburg, Essen, Stuttgart and Zurich, among others. In addition to various world premieres (e.g. by Tina M\u00fcller and Reihaneh Yuzbashi Dizaji) and his own novel adaptations (e.g. \u201889\/90\u2019 by Peter Richter), he developed the series \u2018Die NSU-Protokolle\u2019, the multi-generational project \u2018Mehrheitsgesellschaft\u2019 with young refugees and senior citizens and \u2018Silent Service\u2019 with carers in training. He was a fellow at the 18th Schiller Festival in Mannheim and at Stage@Play at TheaterRampe. His productions have been invited to various festivals and guest performances. For example, \u2018Ich, Moby Dick\u2019 and \u2018Die besten Beerdigungen der Welt\u2019 in 2018 and 2020 to the Bright View festival, \u2018Schoggil\u00e4be\u2019 to the Jungspund Festival 2020 (Switzerland) and the M\u00fclheim Children’s Play Prize, \u2018Penthesilea – Love Is To Die\u2019 (in the Bambi Bambule collective) to the Berlin Performing Arts Festival 2020. In 2021, he created the performative spatial installation \u2018Der Eleusis Effekt\u2019 with his group team:team. He also works as a production manager for the International Festival of Performing Arts \u2018Performing Democracy\u2019 2024, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At JES, he has so far created \u2018Scream – a populistisches Mash-Up\u2019, \u2018Wir so: Welt retten\u2019 and \u2019Die Bremer Stadtmusiktiere\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They agreed on one thing from the beginning: they would definitely find something better than death. But what did the donkey, the dog, the cat and the rooster actually find after they chased the robbers out of their hut? Just a protective roof over their heads? Or a new home? Or community? How do you live together when you are so different and have different needs?

Because music almost always helps, the four \"city music animals\" take Donkey by their word and grab microphones and instruments. The stories are their own, but what kind of music is appropriate? And does it rather take a good choreography, a fresh band name or simply lots of practice to actually make a name for oneself?

The JES Ensemble tells the Brothers Grimm fairy tale from a special perspective, with lots of live music.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Notes on accessibility<\/strong><\/h2>

In the audio description<\/strong> the stage set, the costumes and the visible course of the action are described for people with visual impairments. The descriptions are spoken live during the performance and can be heard by the audience via transmitters with headphones.

For people with visual impairments, we regularly offer screenings with tactile guidance and audio description <\/strong>an.

The tactile tour<\/strong> takes place in the stage area approximately one hour before the performance begins. Here you can feel parts of the stage set, props and costume pieces. The actors introduce themselves and describe themselves. In addition, particularly visual scenes of the production are described.

Notes on sensory stimuli<\/strong><\/h2>

Sensory impressions such as bright light, loud noises or sudden events can be overstimulating or overwhelming for some people. That's why you'll find a list of sensory stimuli in \"Die Bremer Stadtmusiktiere\" here. They may be good to be aware of for you or someone who is attending the performance with you.

- At the beginning of the performance, the actors suddenly appear, shouting loudly.

- The actors stand on raised platforms and on a suspended ladder.
- Music with amplified instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and microphone) and everyday objects such as pots and tin cans.

- Short flickering of neon tubes as well as weak light, darkness and rapid light changes.

- At some points, the actors wear masks and helmets that cover their faces for a brief moment.

- Use of fog and shadow theater towards the end of the performance.
