js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\"><strong>Content<\/strong><\/h2><div id=\"ac-126960\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The dancers on stage range from young to old, with and without disabilities. Some of them are on stage for the first time. They open the luggage of their pasts. There are vastly different parcels: heavy, light, barely manageable, comfortable to carry, stuffed, new, previously unpacked. Their hands and bodies become surfaces that pick up the weight of these found objects, pass them on, put them down and whirl them around. They carry and are carried, they fall and they catch. This blurs the boundaries of their pasts and the individual&#8217;s parcels become the parcels of others.<br><br>A play about wanting to run away and returning. About paying attention, even if someone keeps their door closed. About hope and hands that form a net to carry someone.<br><br>The dance theatre production takes place in collaboration with FUNDUS Theater, Hamburg and is a co-production with h\u00f6hne\/hoffmann.<br><br>Supported by the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media and by the Fonds Darstellende K\u00fcnste in the Production Support Programme (Programm Produktionsf\u00f6rderung) with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js is-style-default\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h2 id=\"at-126961\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\"><strong>Notes on sensory stimuli<\/strong><\/h2><div id=\"ac-126961\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Sensory impressions such as bright light, loud noises or sudden events can be overstimulating or overwhelming for some people. That&#8217;s why you&#8217;ll find a list of sensory stimuli in &#8220;We carry&#8221; here. They may be good to be aware of for you or someone who is attending the performance with you.<br><br>&#8211; There are vocals and loud music that one of the musicians plays live on stage. The musician uses a microphone and a loop station. This means that sounds and noises are played repeatedly. There are high-pitched sounds and noises such as rustling, humming and hissing.<br><br>&#8211; A few minutes into the piece, the musician suddenly loudly claps a rhythm into a microphone. Several people then emerge from behind a wall.<br><br>&#8211; There are rapid changes between light, dim light and darkness. There is a scene in which colourful points of light circle across the stage.<br><br>&#8211; There are various boxes on the stage. The boxes are moved, thrown, carried and stacked into high towers.<br><br>&#8211; There are brightly coloured LED boxes. She studied contemporary dance education, movement studies and performance studies in Vienna, Jerusalem and Hamburg. She brings her expertise to numerous formats, both in excluded social spaces and in professional and university settings. She also conducts research at the interface of social realities and dance. She understands dance as an activist and socially critical practice, which is subject to the constant updating and questioning of contemporary body images and her own work. I began studying Theatre Studies, Philosophy and General and Comparative Literature at Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin in 2015, followed by dramaturgy at the August Everding Theatre Academy.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"fontSize\":\"medium\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Elsewhere<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"fontSize\":\"medium\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">At the theatre in Bamberg, I worked as an assistant in theatre education during my school years and was on stage as an extra and in the youth club. Afterwards, I interned at Deutsches Theater Berlin, Deutsche Oper and Landestheater Coburg, among others. As a composer, singer and stage musician in various performing arts contexts, as well as a singer in the avant-garde pop band Hope, Christine B\u00f6rsch-Supan combines sound art, voice and performance in her work.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"fontSize\":\"medium\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In recent years she has realised, among other projects, the sound installation \u2018Usambaraveilchen\u2019 (Spielart Festival, November 2021), \u2018Wie der Fisch zum Meer fand\u2019 (music and dance theatre, Bavarian State Opera Munich, 2022), \u2018Snitm\u00f8nster\u2019 (dance and music performance for deaf and hearing audiences, FELD Theater Berlin, January 2022), \u2018re-member\u2019 (dance production for intergenerational ensemble, Kampnagel, September 2020 &amp; Kunsthaus Sootb\u00f6rn Hamburg, October 2021), as well as the spatial choreographies \u2018Narziss Echo\u2019 (Impulstanz Vienna, 2017) and \u2018Narkosis\u2019 (Open Spaces Berlin, 2018). She studied Media and Cultural Studies in D\u00fcsseldorf, Philosophy in Nantes and completed her M.A. in Performance Studies in Hamburg. Dance appeals to her as an exploratory activity that deals with bodies in the context of socio-political issues. She therefore enjoys collaborating with artists who are interested in non-human beings, choreographic processes and sensitive practices in dealing with resources. After a decade based in Hamburg and many independent projects at Kampnagel and K3, she moved to Hanover. Here she most recently initiated the performance series \u2018Sargasso Sea\u2019, which deals with artistic recycling processes and was inspired by an algae. In addition to her artistic work, she develops formats that promote dialogue between artists and audiences. Since 2016, she has mainly focussed on producing dance performance pieces for and sometimes with young people. For her, the relationship and difference between the worlds of adults and children is symptomatic of her interest in being confronted with ways of thinking, moving and feeling that she has unlearnt or forgotten as an adult. Her vision is to create dance performances in which the separation between young and older people becomes obsolete, both in the ensemble and in the audience. She studied contemporary dance education, movement studies and performance studies in Vienna, Jerusalem and Hamburg. She brings her expertise to numerous formats, both in excluded social spaces and in professional and university settings. She also conducts research at the interface of social realities and dance. She understands dance as an activist and socially critical practice, which is subject to the constant updating and questioning of contemporary body images and her own work.
