Juegos

Content

A plunger, a picture frame, a pillow… apparently ordinary objects. However, in the hands of this cast of (far from ordinary) dancers, we see objects and people transform in front of our eyes. The movements and manipulation of objects are so fluid and synchronized that it seems as if they can read each other’s minds. They reveal to us the grand scenarios, figures, and scenes that these objects hold inside themselves.
„Juegos“ shows us how serious, and perhaps sacred and performative, the act of playing is. The dance is performed by shifting the way we look to objects: through the eyes of a child, inviting us to witness the playfulness as performance, and the ordinary as extraordinary.
