Denis Makram

Denis Makram (b. 2001) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and filmmaker from Stuttgart. After completing his degree in music education at the HMDK Stuttgart, he is now an integral part of the regional cultural scene and works closely with local artists.
His art thrives on a central symbiosis: Denis combines acoustic instruments with modern electronics and a deeply cinematic visual language, thereby moving away from any rigid genres. Sound itself is genre enough, and so simplicity has just as much a place in his music as complexity.
This cinematic approach is reflected in the breadth of his artistic work: In addition to regularly releasing music and short films, he has held video screenings at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, staged the world premiere of a music theater piece at the WLB Esslingen, and premiered one of his own orchestral works at the HMDK Stuttgart. With his band, founded in 2024, Denis has already played several sold-out concerts at the BIX Jazz Club. He continues to thrill his audience with live looping concerts and is simultaneously working on several new albums and EPs.
