Charlie Wyrsch

EDUCATION
I was born in the Ruhr region in 1996 and gained my first theater experience at the Junges Schlosstheater Moers. After completing my degree in “Applied Theater Studies” in Giessen, I studied “Physical Theater” in Essen. During my time as a student, I also spent two semesters abroad in the Czech Republic and Norway.

OTHER PLACES
I have worked as a guest actor at Schauspiel Essen, Schauspiel Dortmund, and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. I have also performed in or directed various plays in the independent theater scene. These were presented, for example, at Tanzhaus nrw, Maschinenhaus Essen, the international SoloDuoFestival in Cologne, the ZeitZeug Festival in Bochum, and the Hundertpro Festival in Mühlheim.
Together with Meret König and Valentin Schwerdfeger, I am part of the physical theater company “Sticky Fragments.” We are particularly interested in work that bridges different art forms, queer-feminist themes, and “Aesthetics of Access.”

Since September 2025, I have been a permanent ensemble member of the Junges Ensemble Stuttgart.
