A dance theatre

Content

How do we learn to picture the future? Every day we encounter countless people. We walk by them, we sit with them in the tram, we wait with them at traffic lights, sharing for a moment the same space. Countless lives that exist next to each other, entwined in another, and with each other. Some interactions stay futile, and others set things into motion: a glance, a phrase, a gesture, and suddenly thoughts are put into motion that were not there before.

For this dance theater production, the JES actors will search together with an ensemble of young people, what massive potential lies in our lives. Every movement can be an invitation to grow one’s perspective: a feeling of how life can always be different, and a reminder what could still come. What if the best lies ahead?

In simpler words

How do we learn to picture the future? Every day we encounter countless people. We walk by them. We sit with them in the tram. We wait with them at traffic lights. We share the same space with them for a moment. Many lives, that are happening at the same time. Some encounters stay futile, other set things into motion. One glance can ignite thoughts that were not there before.

This is a dance theater piece. The actors and young people understand together that many lives are happening at once. Every movement can change the way you see the world. Every movement is a reminder that our lives can also be different. Maybe the best lies ahead?
