Else is lying by the mountain lake in front of the old castle hotel with her friends, sunbathing, drinking lemonade, flirting – everything seems carefree. But at home, the atmosphere is tense. Her father is gambling away not only his money, but also the family’s happiness. Suddenly, Dorsday, an old friend of her father’s, stands in front of Else’s deckchair. Could he help the family out? Of course he could! Says her mother. But in return, he wants to see Else without her bikini.

A young woman experiences sexual harassment. Nothing new? Three ELSES reflects the lived experiences of women. It is the experience of a system that affects all women, femmes and non-binary people, not a tragic isolated case. The production uses striking scenes to paint a picture of how power, violence and gender roles are interwoven. The three ELSES invite us to tear down patriarchal structures together.
