Sometimes you know quite clearly who you are. But time and again, you discover something new about yourself. In YO SOY, two people meet on stage. One is this way, the other’s that way. Without spoken language, they question each other and their existence. They observe each other closely. They imitate each other and thus change what seems set in stone. With few resources and great precision, a dance theatre piece for everyone aged 3 and up emerges.

YO SOY examines the big question of ‘what makes me who I am’ with ease and humour. It is a piece about our identity and invents new possibilities of being. It is an attempt to make a small world visible in which acceptance is of fundamental importance for the formation of identity.

•    There is also an accessible toilet in front of the JES studios (entrance C, 1st floor), which can be reached via lift.

•    The nearest disabled parking spaces are located on Eberhardstraße, Breite Straße and Christophstraße.

The Argentine-Mexican collective Teatro al Vacío is dedicated to the ongoing exploration and creation of alternative artistic projects with and for children and young audiences. The collective focuses on theatrical projects that combine visual and physical forms of expression with a minimalist aesthetic.
Through their projects, Teatro al Vacío creates a space for dialogue and intergenerational participation.

Since 2007, Teatro al Vacío has worked specifically with young children. They coordinate and facilitate creative and vocational training processes in the performing arts for children, offer workshops for children in hospitals, schools, and at festivals, and provide guidance and support for creative processes involving children and young people.
