Kim de l’Horizon’s multi-award-winning debut novel is the starting point for this theatre piece. ‘Blutbuch’ is a collection of memories of things that seemed important to our ancestors, an honest struggle with a binary present and a tender dream of a place where everything could be different. This JES production invites you into a garden. The kind of garden we dream of: a place where we actually meet, where we can listen to each other honestly, argue relentlessly and rewrite stories.

The novel serves as a source of inspiration, a collection of texts and a centre for our own search about imprinting, anger, queerness and family.
